When filled with holy truth, the mind rests.
-C.H. Spurgeon

Praise God.
It is raining again. Rain is for sleeping in!!! I let myself sleep in an extra half hour today and decided to braid my hair instead of letting it dry curly. It would have been way too cold to walk around campus with wet hair anyhow. Or that is what I told myself this morning so that I could roll over and go back to bed for a while.
Last night we had the Nyces over for dinner and I answered the usual school and work questions. I need to find a way to talk about something else with adults. But I really like the Nyces (maybe becuase I used to babysit their boys... who knows), so I didn't mind rambling on about school and work. Normally people get bored of hearing me talk about physics and engineering in the first two sentences. They zone out at "I'm a physics (I lose half of them there) and mechanical engineering major (and the rest all stop listening there)." They nod and smile. Haha. No, last night was fun. I wrote three letters to people that I have been meaning to write to and I haven't for a while. And I just remembered I left them on my dresser at home. Oh well, I haven't written in at least a month anyhow, what is one more day going to do?
And Dad, Sarah, Luke, and I ran last night in the rain. It was awesome! I felt so great Sunday night running (full off of all that great mexican food and thanks to Jared, fried ice cream), but last night I don't know what my problem was. I made it two miles and wanted to fall over, but thank God for my dad who pressed me on for my full three miles and in record time. My Dad is really wonderful. I love him. We get to go up to visit college park on the 21st together. I think we are stopping at Red, Hot, and Blue for some delicious catfish and sweet potato fries on the way back. Woohoo. Now that will be a grand old time. Although, I think I am driving, I really don't like driving in cities(or anywhere else for that matter). Driving Rt. 13 everyday to school is more then enough driving for me for years.

"If I had a work truck, I would hang this picture in it."
Haha.
Or something like that.
I am finally giving in. As of October 19th, I will have unlimited text and picture messaging. Haha. So I might start actually replying to some of your text messages, Hannah and sending you some of my own. :D Won't that be nice of me.
Last night Hannah, Jared, and I went to La Tolteca! Woohoo. The fried ice cream was awesome! Man, I think I will just get that next time. No meal, just fried ice cream! Haha. That way I can finish it all and still not feel so sick that I can't run with my dad when I get home. :)
Although, I love the rain, it should not ever rain and be this dark outside on a Monday. Makes a terrible start for a week. Raining days should not be wasted on Mondays. They should strickly be held to happening on days off so that I can sleep in, read, sit around in my flannel pants and a sweatshirt, and drink coffee and hot chocolate. So rain rain go away, come again another day.

Favorite quote of Sunday (That wasn't from Jared), "If I didn't know either of you and I saw you all walking along, I would think, 'What a cute couple!' "
Three people, of whom I value their opinion, said this to me yesterday. :)
*smile*

And now it is time to go back to school. Blah.

Well, I am back in the SU computer lab. What a week. It rained all day yesterday and I sat around the house and drank pounds of coffee and planned Reformation. I loved the rain because I didn't have to be anywhere and it was so relaxing. I wanted to call people and have them run in the rain with me and splash in puddles. But there wasn't anyone around. :( So I stayed nice and dry inside.
Luke kept begging me to go to Barnes and Nobles with him so we went running off through the sheets of pouring rain and crowds of people and read for a couple hours. Then dear Hayley Taylor got off work because the mall flooded (haha - glad I wasn't there) and came and we sat around and talked. We decided to do soemthing fun and Hannah, Jared, Linnea, and Hannah seemed like some fun people to call up and play games. What a blast playing the crazy sentence drawing game. I laughed so hard my face hurt. And then we watched the muppets and I laughed so hard I couldn't breath. MAN! There is always one extremely funny part and I lost it (Unless of course it is the episode with Vincent Price and he is not funny at all).
Today was adult choir and church and youth choir and now Su. Later on I have a Women's Retreat Committee meeting and youth choir again and I think that is it for the day. Maybe some Reformation planning with Sarah a little bit later on tonight.

Blessed be Rebecca Wise! She has just made my day by offering to show me around College Park and find someone for me to room with. MAN!! That would be totally sweet. I am beginning to get slightly excited about this. College might actually be fun and enjoyable. Rebecca is one of the sweetest people I know. Praise God for dear friends, both old and new.

Oh, and I should have photos from Winchester, Williamsburg, Richmond, my sling, my roses, and my Colarado Puzzle sometime this week or next week. I finally got a cd burner to transfer my pictures from my dead laptop to a working computer. Woohoo. So you can either look forward to, or dread that. Haha.
I'm a social boiled peanut eater. I don't like them, but everyone else was eating the and so did I. Haha. Last night was a lot of fun. I had a wonderful time sitting around and talking and laughing and eating ice cream! I love that Anna Ford! She's a great girl. She and Sarah always seem to have so much fun doing nothing. They make me laugh. Hooray for Hannah, Sarah Meadows, and Luke Franklin for coming over too. What a great group of people. We realized halfway through our tacos that we had two Annas, two Sarahs, two Lukes (all sitting accross from each other) and then Hannah and I at the ends. And if you call me by my middle name then there were two Hannahs sitting at either end of the table. It was sort of weirdly funny.
And Dad and I got to run again last night which is always a pleasure because we get to talk to whole time. I miss the conversations we used to have in the car when we rode to school together. Now I am all alone. :( Praise be to God for my parents.
This song is mysteriously beautiful, like all Delirious songs. I can't ever put my finger on why I love them so much. The music and the lyrics seem to go so well and it intrigues me. Ponder anew...

Stealing time
-Delirious?
(Have I said lately, that I love Delirious...?)

I need a lonely day with you, sometime.
I need to get away with you, sometime.
I've got a crowd of things going on, in my mind.
I need a lonely day with you, sometime.
Sometimes, I never get there, sometimes.

Stealing time, Am I forever.
Stealing time to be with you.

I remember love's first days,
Precious moments, we had all the time in the world.
Still You thrill me, still You heal me.
Still need a lonely day with you, sometime.
Sometimes, I never get there.
Sometimes, can I ever get there?

This time, will I ever really get there?

Psalms 139:1-7
"O LORD, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my every thought when far away. You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment you know where I am. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, LORD. You both precede and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to know! I can never escape from your spirit! I can never get away from your presence!

Psalm 18:46
"The LORD lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God my Savior!"

Phillipians 3:13-14
"Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven."
And I hope you still have fun without me,
I wish I was there with you too!

We'll have to go some other day. I sure it will still be fun. And we could stop at Red, Hot, and Blue on the way back! :) Woohoo.
So it was so hard to get up this morning. I stayed in bed as long as possible and stared at the back of my eyelids. But I knew sitting in bed all day wouldn't change the fact that I was here (and had to go to school) and Jared got to go to DC today (and got to take off). Man! I have always wanted to tour the White House and see the World War II Memorial (my family went without me last time - because I had school. BLASTED SCHOOL). Hey, I am complaining again. Haha. I should stop that. I really do love the place God has put me. I am just disapointed. However, on the positive side, I have been quite productive today, for not feeling like doing anything all day. Thankfully.

1 Corinthians 10:12 (The Message)
Don't be so naive and self-confident. You're not exempt. You could fall flat on your face as easily as anyone else. Forget about self-confidence; it's useless. Cultivate God-confidence.
I can't help but
S M I L E!
And laugh...
Don't you just love life so much some days...?!?
I went to the Doctors yesterday to get my shoulder checked out and basicly he said, "We will know if the surgery is a failure, if your shoulder ever pops out of socket again. " I was like, boy that is really comforting. My Dad and I found that quite amusing and have been quoting it to each other since then. Dad, Sarah, and I ran again last night! So thrilling. This weather is perfect in the evenings to run. A little cold at first, but once you start running it is great.
So I took the girls to La Tolteca last night and Emily and Elizabeth ended up coming along too. It was a great time being girly. I think it is so fun to be the the position of oldest sibling taking out younger siblings and friends to dinner and giving them all rides. I used to hate being looked up to and copied by my siblings and their friends, now I quite enjoy it. It is stressful somedays knowing that they are watching you and waiting to see how you handle certain situations. But most of the times it is a real joy. Oh, and the CHIPS were amazing last night. Or was it the salsa.... the salsa was hot like I have never had it before. The 5 of us at 4 baskets of chips before the meal. My mouth was getting numb from the salsa by the time our meal came out. It was AWESOME! They need to always have hot salsa!!!
On a side note: My favorite of Anna's friends didn't come last night (*hug hug* to my beach/shoes sister - I miss you, Rachel). Sorry about the wrist. Hopefully you can play soccer soon! We could be hurt arm sisters too! Haha.
And I love you, Anna, but I want my soccer shorts back sometime soon! :) Heh.

Romans 8:12 - 17
"Therefore, brothers, we have an obligationbut it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. "

Good Morning All!

I was told: "You sound chipper this morning"
And I am! I really am. I blame it on it on a host of things.
Allow me list my blessings.
* My exam went well yesterday
* Physical therapy was tolerably boring.
* I got to eat dinner with my beloved family (yes all of them!!)
* I have a family to eat dinner with!
* Linnea, Rachel, Rachel, Hannah, Anna, Greg, and I went to go get Mountian Dew Icees (and milk if you are Greg) last night after their small groups.
* I have friends that won't let me not have fun.
* I have Godly friends that encourage me.
* I got to run with my father last night, which is always great because he pushes me farther. I ran three miles without stopping!!! Woohoo. And Luke almost ran the whole way with us too. Good little brother of mine. I really do think I get high of running. I feel so great afterwards.

When you're down and feeling blue, just stop and count your blessings. It makes the world a whole lot brighter. Thank God for reminding me this yesterday when I was in a rotten mood all morning. Why can't I always remember this! I guess then I wouldn't have to depend on God for my joy. Blessed by thy name.

So I am going to the Doctors for my shoulder post post-op today. That should be fun. Then I am off to take Anna and Mackenzee out to dinner at La Tolteca. I have been promising since the first day of the semester and I have had no free evenings. Heh. Man, life is busy. God be praised for the strength to continue everyday.

Perfect submission, all is at rest
I in my Savior am happy and blest,
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.
It’s amazing how you can speak right to my heart
Without saying a word you can light up the dark
Try as I may I could never explain
What I hear when you don’t say a thing

Old mr. webster could never define
What’s being said between your heart and mine

The smile on your face lets me know that you need me
There’s a truth in your eyes sayin’ you’ll never leave me
John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. "

Roses are Pink
Roses are Yellow
I can't believe I have Roses
What a wonderful fellow!!

I am getting really sappy.
All this homework is getting to my head.
