Plates!!
Please click on the plates link and look at what I want my plates to look like. I want pretty much this exact pink banded plate. Problem - the only place I have found it is in a discontinued Pyrex brand. You wouldn't think that this color and plain plate would be THIS hard to find. If anyone knows or finds a place to buy some that look like this I would be so happy. Thanks!!
Replacements.com has turquoise, maroon, and gray. But not many.
ReplyDeleteYou might want a set that you can replace a piece if you break one.(What year did they come out)?
I make those plates.
ReplyDeleteI am not kidding you!!!These were my Grandma Smedberg's everyday plates--the pink was so worn off from use--I had a round casserole dish of hers for a long time that finally all the pink wore off and I pitched it at a yard sale!! I'll be looking do you want a set or just a few???
ReplyDeleteWell, I'd like the set or a set that looks like them. I just think pink plates are fun. And this is such a great color of plates. I know someone has to make them because I saw some in Charlottesville when I went to visit Hayley. However, those plates were like 70 bucks a piece...
ReplyDeleteAnd that is so neat that your Grandmother had these plates. I think they are so awesome. I saw the casserole dishes online somewhere. They look fun too.
I don't understand why I can't find anything that even looks like these.
i like them! good luck finding them! ah i bet its fun to try to figure out what you want in your soon to be home with jared! haha
ReplyDeleteactually--the price for something vintage isn't that bad--but don't forget Ebay

This was a search for pyrex flamingo--evidently there are 2 kinds--plain and goldrimmed--also--you'd need to handwash--the pink wore off after a while in my dishwasher and faded just from use at Grandma's
