Yesterday I had a snow day. Today I have class. I wish there were I-don't-feel-like-going-to-school days. That is what Sarah called them today and I thought it was a great name for them.
I don't know if I like my classes yet because I have only been to one of the three. I have this feeling I am going to end up liking two of the three, which is what I thought when I signed up for the classes. I would like the 3rd one if 1. The professor spoke better English and I could understand him better and 2. That the screen wasn't literally three feet away from my face and the classroom wasn't the size of a closet (miserable design for an engineering building). I really thought the class would be interesting and I want to learn about the subject. That is one of the most frustrating things about school, taking a class in something you want to learn about and basically not learning anything and feeling like you wasted your time. That has happened several times in College Park to me. :( Sad.
Anyhow, I am pretty sure I am going to like my other two classes, which I haven't had yet, but I have seen the syllabus for each class. We'll see tomorrow. I start teaching next Monday. I hope I like my class. heh. I hope none of them like me too much and ask me out again.
Sarah just bought me tickets last night for something really exciting!! YES!! And I am almost finished Amy Carmichael! I really like these missionary biographies. If you have not read one yet, do! They are really encouraging and challenging.
I don't know about you but I took off on those "I-don't-feel-like-going-to school" days. Unfortunately, when your mom is the Lunch Room Mother, it is a bad idea to play hookie:-0
