One of my friends at RUF recently became engaged and her ring has diamonds set on the side of the big diamond. Since class was cancelled today, I started thinking about rings (heh, I'm such a girl). I'm not a big jewlery fan. If I wear it, I like simple stuff. I like my Mom's first ring and how simple it was (but I don't like yellow gold). I defiantly like the rounded bands better. As much as I like my friend's ring, I think that I love the classic look so much better. It is just so elegant and classy. I like that. And I really like silver. heh. Here is sort of what I am talking about. I don't know if that is the cut stone that I like. But this was one of the first to pop up on a google search.

So if you have a ring, what does your ring look like?
And any of you, what style do you like?

***Note for all you mothers and other people rushing me to married: Just so you all know, I am not planning on getting married or engaged for quite a while. I'm in no rush. I like the place in like that I am in right now. I like school and I love learning. That 11.11.11 date appeals to me a lot!!! How cool would it be to get married on all 1s. Or if that was too far away for some of you, 1.11.11 is pretty cool as well or 1.1.11. But guess what...? It isn't up to you, it is up to me. haha. I almost didn't post this because of you all, but my blog has been lacking in good discussion material, so talk it up! Tell me about your rings or what you want.

  1. There may be at least ONE other person to consider....(just a thought) heh heh

also, you are such a numbers person! i see it, and it's cool because it's you, but it doesn't relate with me...but like you said, it is you, not me; i LOVE being already married!

  2. I like simple too. Simple solitaire in a gold band.(I didn't like white gold but I do now).
There are cuts of stones now that weren't around when I became engaged. You all probably remember this but my stone is from a dead woman's earring(and her husband sold it to my MIL and hubby-to-be). Bill wrapped it up in a Bible box and proposed after church,in the balcony, where we always sat.
Antique rings are nice too-especially if they were in the family.

  3. I didn't know your ring was from a dead woman's earring. That is pretty weird and cool. Cool that you get to tell that story. heh.

And 07 07 07 is a great date too, but since that is only a few months away and I won't be finished school and started working yet, it doesn't work. 08.08.08 doesn't work. I don't like even numbers. haha.

  4. I'm with you on the ring options... the simpler the better. I'm not a fan of yellow gold, silver all the way. It goes with my skin tone best (ha-ha!).

11.11.11 would be a wonderful wedding date... hmm, maybe I'll just have to steal that date from you. ;)

AND silver is what I like as well!!! Maybe we should go platinum, haha...

(And now I understand about the 11.11.11 comment on Anna's blog... I was wondering what I had missed!)

09.09.09 is still up for grabs ;) even AND closer then 11.11.11 OR I'll give it to my sis :)
