I have a HUGE exam on Wednesday.
So I am banning myself from the computer tomorrow.
So... who's who is coming out tonight.

Frankly, I must admit, that I am extremely disappointed in the blogging world these days. There are very few of you that even make it on to the list. See the goal of this is to make it so there are so many new posts, I don't have to give weekly updates of the few valiant souls that updated their blogs so that I can know what is going on at home.

So this week I want to especially commend two people for trying their hardest to give me something to read almost every day. These people would be Hayley and Mr. Howard!

Alrighty, time for Who's who...
* My Sister Anna posted about her Christmas list. She wants an M-5 Beamer. I wonder where she got that idea from. Ha.
* Mrs. Taylor is asking what color Hayley's room should be. Vote here.
* Linnea posted about how much she misses Ben.
* Jamie posted an amusing quote from a recent letter he received.
* If you haven't visited Dasha's blog, now would be a good time to start.
* Sienna posted about a trip to get ice cream.
* The amazing quotes of Mr. Howard
* Best Friend - Hayleyo posted more about England. No I don't know why I put an o on the end of her name. Haha. I just felt like it.
* And Ben posted about a retreat or something where he played dodgeball. I'm glad he is posting a few words with his pictures this year. Heh.

And that is all folks. Oh and I posted pictures from the football game. But you already saw those if you visited my links. I also have another word game coming your way. I don't know why my mom said it was funny to see a word game on my blog... because I have always loved patterns in words.

Well, I'll just post this next one now.

Find a word (that all in uppercase letters) looks the same upside down as it does the right way. So find me a word that would look the same if you wrote it down and then flipped the paper over and looked at it. :)
Have fun!! Again, no cheating!!
I was doodling the other day and I figured this out.
What fun I have while I should be studying.

Waiting an hour and a half before the game just to have good seats.
It was Blackout night so all the students and the team wore black.
They gave us hats and XL shirts.
Still waiting...
The band comes out...
Note the guys near the bottom without their shirts.
It was freezing last night.
They were crazy.
I like how Cole Field House looks like the moon at night.

Student section - all in black and extremely loud

Another one of Cole Field House.
Me - rushing the field after game - in my case it was more like walking down the stairs onto the field, just to be able to say I have been down on the field. Haha.

Maryland we're all behind you, (unless you are playing UNC)

Raise high the black and gold. (And light blue)

For there is nothing half so glorious,
As to see our team (UNC) victorious.
We've got the steam boys,
We've got the team boys,
So keep on fighting, don't give in!
M-A-R-Y-L-A-N-D (yell)
(C-A-R-O-L-I-N-A will win)
Maryland will win!

Down on the field... all the happy MD students.

I'm about to go to the Maryland vs. Florida State game.
All I can say is wow.
There are some crazy people tailgating around here.
I can see it being fun, with my family, and minus the beer.
They are all dressed to the nines in red gear.
Crazy people.

Okay...
There are these words that are spelled the same way, but when you say them different ways, they mean different things. Yes, I know what they are called, but I am not telling you, so you can't cheat and go look online for them. And if you know what they are called, no going and looking online for them as well.

I want you all to THINK of words that you can say more than one way and that gives them a different meaning...

A few examples to start you off with:
Read
Wound
Rebel
Lead
Project

Now think of your own!!
And post them, please. :)

Next week we will list mumes (which is plural for mumpsimus).
It means: adherence to or persistence in an erroneous use of language.

Or maybe a or two paragoge:
the addition of a sound or group of sounds at the end of a word

God be merciful to me
on thy grace I rest my plee.

Glorious God,
All your promises are fulfilled in Christ,
You have spoken them,
and they are done.
But I have often doubted them,
and have lived at times as if there were no God.
Teach me to ove your will,
to delight in your law,
and to believe that everything you do is for my good.
Help me to leave my concerns in your hands,
for you alone have the power over evil.
Forgive me when I have instucted you in my troubles!
May I glorify you in my trials.
Give me the confidence I ought to have in You
Who alone is worthy to be praised,
and who is blessed for evermore.
Amen.

Today, I did homework, cleaned the bathrooms, scrubbed the floors, and washed the kitchen floor.

Tomorrow... Hannah and Patrick and Jared are coming to see me!!!
And we are going to visit DC!

How many awesome thing can a person handle in one day?!?
One of my favorite places to visit...
Some of my favorite people...
They are bringing me books from my favorite Dad...
We are going to eat at one of my favorite resturants...
We get to ride the metro (another favorite activity)...

I don't know how to handle the excitement!
It is like waiting for Christmas or something...

Woohoo and then, even more exciting news.
I am coming home next Thursday for the first time in eight weeks!!!!
So if you are going to the Third Day concert, you'll see me, otherwise, I'll be heading back that evening or the next. I have a major exam that next week (it is worth like 50% of my grade-YIKES!).
It will be so good to see my family again.

I talked to Sarah for almost two hours on the phone last night and then the batteries died and Hope wanted Sarah to watch a movie with her. I miss Sarah and Anna and Luke and Hope and Mom and Dad. Not enough to come home, but when I start thinking about them, I miss them. It would be so much easier to just stay at home with all of them for the rest of my life. But normally the easiest things aren't the best things. So here I am. Loving University of Maryland and so thrilled to be a part of one of the biggest colleges in the US of A and among some of the brightest minds in the nation. Seriously, I feel stupid around some of these people. They are so smart. I liked Salisbury because I felt like to smartest one there. Here I am maybe average... probably below that... but anyhow. It is exciting! And I need to go do some more homework.

Sorry about no updates.
After tomorrow, I promise I will post something.
My last midterm is tomorrow!!
I have two quizes the following week, but they aren't like having midterm exams (they aren't worth between 25 and 40% of your grade).
Oh, I went to advising today for classes... I am trying to decide if I want to take four or five classes. I am seriously considering taking five.

Sorry about that.
Oh and the shaking is my bad filming skills.
I was trying to hold the camera steady, but I wasn't resting my hands on anything... so blame me if you get sick watching it. Haha.

Otherwise, enjoy.
I think is beautiful.

This week is going to be crazy and next week looks even worse.
But before I go off to study I just wanted to praise God for the girls I have met at RUF.

Friday night, I was able to go shopping and to dinner and a movie with three of the girls. It was so great to be able to get off campus and away from school and just spend time getting to know each other more.

Last night I got to take a break from studying to go to the girls RUF small group. I am growing to really love Monday nights, even though I have to leave my the house at 7:15 in the morning to avoid traffic and get to my 8:00am class and then I am on campus all day until small group at 7:30-10pm. It is amazing how much Christian Fellowship means to your life. I think about skipping it every week because I am sooooo tired. But, I am so encouraged to press on every time I go. It is so good to hear that others are facing some of the same problems you are and know that people are praying for you and want to hear about your day and talk to you about what you are going through. Plus, I love how they are all really smart and strive to not just get good grades, but understand the material. They have helped me see that it doesn't matter what letter grade you get in the class as long as you learn what you are going to need for later on in life. So often I get caught up into having to get an A that I forget what I am really there for. I am at college to learn more about this world that God created and to be able to use whatever degree I get to glorify Him.

After Small group we sat around talking and then headed out to our 11pm soccer game.
Thank God for soccer!

Anyhow, I just wanted to praise God for that and for Mr. Franklin telling me about RUF so much that I felt guilty not going. Haha. I have two really big exams next week on Monday and Thursday, so if you all wouldn't mind praying, I would really appreciate that. :) I probably won't be around much until after that. And I am also thankful that Hannah and Patrick are coming to visit me in three weeks. And Anna and Sarah are coming in 5 weeks!!! What fun to look foward to. And of course, I am continually thankful for the Howards and all of the stuff they do for me. They are the busiest people I know. Today Mr. Howard was leading a "tree tour" around the county. It was a bus full of people and they stop at big and old trees and get out and look at them. You all should come visit me, so you can meet them. You won't be disappointed. They are amazing.

A verse for you to think about:
Zechariah 2:13
"Be still before the Lord, all mankind, because he has roused himself from his holy dwelling."

I love "Be still before the Lord".
It is hard to stop and take a moment to be still and quiet in the craziness of each day.
But it is so worth it.

Genesis 4: 6-7 (NASB and the Message)

"Then the LORD said to Cain,
'Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?
If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up?
And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door;
and its desire is for you,
but you must master it.' "

"God spoke to Cain:
'Why this tantrum? Why the sulking?
If you do well, won't you be accepted?
And if you don't do well, sin is lying in wait for you, ready to pounce;
it's out to get you,
you've got to master it.' "

I've read this passage many times, but somehow this time, this stuck out more than normal.

Be killing Sin or it will be killing you!
God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in times of trouble.
He who began a good work in you, will carry it to completion.
So we run the race with confidence!! :)
I'm way too busy to post for you all right now.
Plus I don't have anything interesting to say.
So... go over to Sarah's Blog.
I love this post.

I miss you little sister.

Oh and I found the surpirse in the Cheese Its.
That was genius!!
Whoever thought of that should be rewarded.
Ha. I never noticed until I was pulling out a bag the other day...
