Therefore sin is not small, because it is not against a small Sovereign. The seriousness of an insult rises with the dignity of the one insulted. The Creator of the universe is infinitely worthy of respect and admiration and loyalty. Therefore, failure to love him is not trivial—it is treason.

faith - where have i heard this before? like recently. is that from church? because it sounds so stinkin familiar. hmm . . .

It is from John Piper's "The Passion, fifty reasons Christ came to die" It is from the first Chapter. I read it this morning for family devotion. Haha. Other then that...it might have been used in church. But I wasn't here for two sundays, so I am not sure.
